The students of Allen, Fort Scott and Neosho County Community Colleges will perform a combined concert, American Music, on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. This exciting and historic collaboration among the three community colleges will be practiced and performed under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Anderson and Ms. Adrienne Fleming of Allen Community College, Mr. Seth Ernst of Fort Scott Community College, and R. Alan Murray of Neosho County Community College. The concert will feature Mr. Charles Bruffy, Kansas City Symphony Chorus Director and Grammy Award Conductor of the Kansas City Coral, leading the community college students in the choral portion of the program. The evening's selections will include Beach Boys forever arranged by Jerry Brubaker and Prairie songs by Pierre LaPlante in the instrumental portion of the program, and I brought Me A cat and At the River by Aaron Copland in the choral portion of the program. Presidio Brass has performed throughout the U.S. in over 40 states as well as internationally in Canada and china, conducted master classes at many of America's finest universities and been featured on National Public Radio.
