Do I need to have utilities located before I dig on my property?
Anytime you dig it is required by law to call Kansas One-Call (a.k.a. Dig Safe) – for any reason. There are many different types of utilities that could be damaged and could be very dangerous to you or others. The excavator is responsible for the cost of any damaged utilities if these proper guidelines are not followed while digging. Plan before you dig by contacting Kansas One-Call at (800) DIG-SAFE or simply by dialing 811. You can also visit the Kansas One-Call website.
