1. What can be disposed of at the Compost Pile?

Biodegradable yard waste such as grass, leaves, garden waste, flowers, and hay or straw. Please remove any wire or twine from bales.

2. What cannot be disposed of at the Compost Pile?

Trash of any kind, plastic bags, lumber, and tree limbs. Wire, rope, and twine causes damage to our equipment, please be very careful not to leave any.

3. How much does the Compost Pile cost to use?

Nothing, this is a service provided to area residents to lower the volume of trash taken to the landfill. As long as the rules are followed and cost to the City is kept at a minimum there will be no dumping fees.
